Computerless

Posted by Mummy Dearest on Nov-1-2003

My computer was in the shop, yet again. It has come back in even worse shape-while trying to setup the network card for my cable connection, I was suddenly told that my screen adapter was gone. Gone ? How so ?

But I enjoyed my week without a computer very much, perhaps too much. Highlights included watching a bit of a movie on BBC one afternoon as I quilted. That is just so decadently housewifely that I loved it.

I also started up a written journal once more. I had stopped that when I got this, but re-reading the stuff about The Baby’s birth- and other things written that year- made me realize how very much I’ve come to censor myself. I also just liked reading my own handwriting, on a page of paper, in a little note book.

Will I keep both up ? I don’t know. The paper one definitely has my interest at the moment. In fact, later on this weekend I will be putting up Friday’s bit up here.

Well, guess I should look into SpellCheck for The Boy’s computer here…

You’re not seriously contemplating leaving us al alone on the web, are you?

    he-he !

Actually, Edwin, probably not. It’s just that Han has a lot of computer ‘work’ scheduled for me up to the end of the year and I want to find a better balance of time. I want to goof off and watch afternoon TV more and stuff like that.

I have used the computer to escape from Mr.Jo and now… Mr. Jo is gone !
