  1. Julie Said,

“rain drops keep falling on my head”….hahha
when I came here for the first time I was
surprised at these kind of streets , we dont
have those so much in America…but I really
    think they have charm… :)

  2. sue Said,

Julie, feeling rather dreary today, I took my camera with me- hoping to get a dreary picture ( there is a door in town that Edwin and Lynn would die for..). I was very surprised to see all of the color in this one.

And I hate biking on these streets, charming though they are !

  3. Julie Said,

OHHH I love all the old doors too… In Amsterdam
there are some amazing ones…and the streets and walks that are those bumpy cobbles are hard to walk on sometimes.. Im terrible with them :r

  4. David (TEFL Smiler) Said,

Geen hondepoep? Are you sure you live in the Netherlands? ;-)

No, but seriously: this is a great photo. It’s surprisingly rich in colours (I never think about a street in that way), and the rain makes it look kind of refreshing. The whole vertical thing’s quite surprising for a photo of a bit of a street, too. I like it!

  5. sue Said,

David, I have no idea where that weird angle came from. It was meant to be a vertical picture. I just returned from taking the kids to school, stood on our stoop and looked at that gully that was filled with water yesterday. I haven’t a clue, although the fact that it was pouring rain, I was holding an umbrella, and a camera while balancing a rather large AH bag of groceries and a box of kitty litter against one leg may have influenced things a wee bit. Odd angle or not, I liked the colors.

Plus, I wasn’t feeling very chatty yesterday, so slapping a photo up is the cowards way out.

    Thanks !

  6. sue Said,

Julie ! Right now I am only getting 1.3 minutes out of every 5 minutes to connect- about the undutchables- they have a web site which I have visited…

But you know, I have found that when it comes to the Dutch- in general- it is better to remain rather silent. At least here.
