I am having a great number of google hits of someone wanting to look at a photo of the new $20 bill so finally, I just deleted it. Hopefully they’ll stay away now.     Kinga, I’m working on fixing it. At the same time, Norton jumped in and screwed up my torrent settings, so I’ve been wading through all of that, trying to figure out what Norton did and undo it.

    I’m at the little yellow face right now ( I can partially connect) working on getting back to little green face status.

    I use BitTorrent, but assume that it means the same in your torrent program: you’re stuck behind a firewall. I hope you sorted it out. Lack of torrent is not good. I just torrented the best of the 80′s, loads of tunes, a folder for each year and am boogying out to music I grew up to. Must be a Dutch collection, though, as Dutch tunes pop up here and there. I really must look into sharingthegroove, as it looks good. So far, SuprNova is the fave.

    Good luck with sorting out your hotlinking and I do hope you don’t shut down.

    Yup, Kinga- it screwed up my port forwarding thing. I seem to have it partially solved, but not 100 %.

    I started out with BitTorrent as well. I learned how to use the thing over at the Sharing the Groove forums and kept hearing about other clients, which had more features. I’ve tried just about all of the big ones and like Azureus best. One plus is that you can download/ upload more than one torrent at a time. Plus I just love all of the little graphs and charts it has.

    The tech people from Site5 have assured me that all of my ‘stuff’is now protected against hot-linking. They were even kind enough to explain to me- step by step- the code they used in the .htaccess file. All I can do now is watch the stats-

    Weekends, I burn off CD’s from torrents collected during the week- a Counting Crows for me and 2 for Sally. I just love torrents and can’t wait for my next pay check to come in, for I’m buying a DVD burner and want to learn how to handle DVD torrents-

    Second…. Obviously I need to read up as I have no idea what a torrent is, nor am I positive about hot linking.
    Third…I am an enormous Counting Crows fan and you are now the 3rd person this week whose blog I read regularly who mention themselves as listening to the band as well. It must be a personality type. I have bags of live stuff that I’ve recieved form all over. If you ever want a CD burned and mailed, just e-mail me. Id be happy to pass it along.

    Well, I’m a convert now. Azureus is now what I’m using. I could always download more than 1 thing with BitTorrent but it ate ram and virtual memory like there was no tomorrow! So, I’ve made the switch. Less ram eatage. But also, the downloads are slower. Or maybe that’s just what’s happening lately. SuprNova is really chock-a-block with things to download these days. Their TVShows section is packed. I’m catching up on Angel. Thanks for that tip, Sue! It really is a superior programme to BitTorrent.

    Well, Kinga- I’m nosey and just loved those graphs. I also listed another tracker ( the last one). It is a royal pain in the ass to register ( lie : say you are from Brazil or something that has provinces), but it seems to have all of the latest stuff that Sally wants.

    Not that I’m comparing you two, but it is another tracker which I’m using more and more ( now that I figured out how to register).
